Les Houches Ski Lift Info

Sunday, 27 July 2008

Les Houches rests at the foot of Mont Blanc and the ski area extends from an altitude of 950m to 1900m, which means you ski through pine and larch forests. There are great views of the 'aiguilles de Chamonix'. The Les Houches ski area is perfect for skiers/boarders of all abilities, especially beginners and families. There are enough easy runs, some more difficult ones and the international black 'La Verte' piste. This piste is the location of the Kandahar World Cup Downhill Ski Championships and other regular international events. This winter Les Houches is opening its own snow park: Airpark Bellevue, where people with different levels of expertise can practise and improve their tricks. You can also go skiing/boarding by night in Les Houches every Thursday at Tourchet.
