Chamonix is arguably at its most beautiful in the summer, with the majestic Mont-Blanc and the craggy mountain peaks and glaciers all running down into the lush green forests, with the historic town nestled in the heart of it all. The ancient appeal to explore all parts and climb all peaks is easily understood, and there are a huge variety of activities on offer to facilitate this, no matter what your age, experience or fitness level.

For all summer sports in Chamonix – mountain biking, climbing, mountaineering, paragliding, canyoning, rafting, ice climbing, trail running, golf, tennis, walking, hiking and trekking – you can find almost all clothing, material and equipment available to rent or buy. Bike rental, climbing equipment including shoes, harnesses and helmets, trekking boots, mountaineering boots, crampons, ice axes, telescopic poles, material for via ferrata, even baby backpacks and buggies! All is available to rent in the centre of town, and many shops offer on-line rental to ensure you don’t miss out.
