The Grand Hotel des Alpes is a magnificent structure that was constructed in 1840 and completely refurbished in 2004. With its setting at the base of Mont Blanc and located in the centre of the mountains known as the glorious Alps, this hotel has one of the most spectacular views in the region. The hotel is very near the Mer de Glace and Aiguille du Midi, being located in the heart of Chamonix as it is. Chamonix is one of the most well-known and stunning ski resorts in the world.

Grand Hotel des Alpes Rooms

Twenty-seven remarkably warm and inviting rooms await you, along with three suites. Each one is inviting and comfortable, decorated intuitively with style and grace that matches the area that surrounds it. All rooms include a mini-bar, internet access with Wi-Fi, satellite television, an in-room safe for your personal valuables, and a DVD player. Names of the accommodations include Brévent, Mont Blanc, the Suite Brévent, the Mont Blanc Suite, the Ancient Tower Suite, and the Honeymoon room.

Many wonderful restaurants exist close to the hotel and within the ski resort village of Chamonix. Your hotel staff will be happy to assist you in recommendations and/or making reservations.

Grand Hotel des Alpes Facilities

This facility has a swimming pool with a wave machine, Jacuzzi, sauna, and massage services. These activities will invigorate you and then relax you for a wonderful ending, or perhaps beginning, to your day. There is also a multi-lingual library where you can borrow a book or DVD for your entertainment pleasure and enjoyment.

There is a private garage with ski room and ski closets. A shoe dryer is also accessible. Just a couple minutes walk will take to you ski shops where you may purchase or rent any equipment you might need for outdoor activities. You can purchase ski passes at the hotel’s reception area; doing so may eliminate a wait in line for departure of the cable car.

The hotel has a lounge with a splendid view of Mont Blanc which can also be utilized for conference facilities or a meeting room. A video projector, screen, computer, and other various types of equipment you might need are all available to you. The room will accommodate approximately 30 people. Le Majestic, the congress centre, is within a short walk of the hotel, and larger seminars and gatherings can be accommodated there.
